Sherlock must Be better about detail

I was delighted to get a copy of Sherlock: The complete season One Manga box set for a project I’m working on.

It has the three volumes corresponding to the three episodes of the first season of the Sherlock TV show in a slipcase box along with “three exclusive art cards”. Those [turned out to be] copies of the book covers.

Except… they got the credit scores wrong. All three of the cards have the credits
“Writer/Co-Creator: mark Gatiss
Co-Creator: Steven Moffat
Artist: Jay.”

Those credit scores are only true of the final book, The great Game. You can see what I indicate by comparing the cards to their covers. They’re the same except for the credit scores blocks. A study in Pink was written by Steven Moffat.

The Blind Banker was written by Steve Thompson.

While The great game matches.

This is similar to when a syndicated TV show uses the same credit scores for all its episodes. It’s common, but it’s sloppy. In the case of print, I’m not sure how something like this happens, as it seems it would be much easier to use the original files instead of redoing them, but I don’t know what the process really is. often I think I’d be happier if I didn’t notice these things, but then again, Sherlock might be pleased of me.
