Media release — The will Eisner Spirit of Comics merchant Award, provided under the auspices of Comic-Con International: San Diego, is provided to an private merchant who has done an impressive task of supporting the comics art medium both in the neighborhood as well as within the market at large.To nominate a retailer, please click here.
The guidelines for nomination include:
* any type of merchant well established in service for at least two years is eligible to be nominated.
* any individual — retailers, professionals, fans — may location a name in nomination.
* A panel of market judges selects a group of finalists to be subjected to an thorough assessment based on the award criteria.
* Winners will be revealed as part of the will Eisner Comic market awards at Comic-Con worldwide on Friday, July 13, 2012.
* Previous winners are not eligible for nomination.
The requirements for judging include:
* support of a large range of ingenious material. supplying chances for creators’ material to reach buyers; stocking a diverse inventory.
* Knowledge. working to stay informed on retailing in addition to on the comics field.
* neighborhood activity. promoting comics to the community; preserving connections with institutions as well as libraries; keeping active in social, business, as well as arts neighborhood organizations.
* high quality of store image. ingenious screen approaches; utilizing store style creatively.
* Adherence to common honest service practices.
